TTP leader orders attacks on schools, hospitals in leaked call
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been inciting unrest across northwestern Pakistan, calling for terrorist attacks in general. But now the outfit’s chief Noor Wali Mehsud has specifically asked assailants to blow up government-run schools and hospitals, according to sources.
TTP enjoys considerable support from various terrorist groups, and is operating at a significant scale in Afghanistan while conducting cross-border terror operations in Pakistan.
Recently, a phone call from TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud was leaked in which Mehsud can be heard giving directives to his local agents. The extremists, through both direct action and propaganda, are already targeting Pakistanis and inciting unrest.
In the leaked call, he spoke about a recent attack on a rural health centre in Dera Ismail Khan, which resulted in the death of several civilians. Noor Wali’s leaked call with Ahmed Hussain and local commander Saqib Gandapur reveals their sinister plans.
Mehsud, currently hiding in Afghanistan, can be heard instructing his operatives, Gandapur and Hussain, to bomb government buildings and schools. He also pushed for the bombings of residences of military and police personnel.
Mehsud can also be heard urging his comrades to maintain secrecy about their future plans.
