Bodies of two TikTokers found
Police officer says the killings could be result of enmity
THE bodies of two TikTokers, both bearing torture marks, were found in a car parked on the old National Highway in the Sukkur area on Saturday.
The bodies were identified as those of Seema Khaskheli and Zafar Abbas Hajano. According to officials at the Khairpur district’s A-Section police station, their vehicle was parked near the Irani Kosar Hospital, which is located along the National Highway.
As per initial reports, the bodies were three days old but the car had been parked two days earlier. The remains were taken to the Khairpur Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination.
SHO Iqbal Noon said the killers may have had some animosity towards the victims, but it was too early to speculate over the reasons behind the murders. However, Ms Seema’s family blamed a marriage dispute for the killings.
Mr Hajano hailed from the Rind Hajano village in Kotdiji taluka, whereas Ms Seema lived in Khairpur’s Ghariabad Colony.
Ms Seema’s parents told media personnel that she had married Yaseen Indher, a native of Pannu Aqil, but divorced him after falling in love with Mr Hajano. “They were about to get married,” they said.
They said that Ms Seema went to the bazaar three days ago but didn’t return home. They stated that despite a thorough search, they were unable to locate her. It was unclear whether Ms Seema’s family had reported her disappearance to police or not.
They added that they heard about Ms Seema’s fate on Saturday, when the police notified them. Following the postmortem examination and completion of other legal procedures, police handed over the bodies to the heirs. They said they were investigating the case from all possible angles.
The deceased woman’s parents have urged the Sukkur DIG and Khairpur SSP to conduct a thorough inquiry into the double murder and bring the perpetrators to justice.
