Beloved social media figure Shera dies in road accident

 His charm, humour and antics had propelled him to the top of media scene

WIDELY loved social media personality Shera, whose real name was Kamran, has died of injuries sustained in a traffic accident, his brother Usman Bashir has said.

According to sources, Kamran fell into a coma following the accident and passed away a few days later. They said Shera’s funeral prayers were offered on 30th August in the Noshian Qureshian area of Sara-e-Alamgir, from where he hailed. 

Kamran’s employer and fellow internet personality Arbaz Butt took to Instagram to confirm Shera’s death, posting a video clip showing a solitary candle in order to highlight his grief over the passing of his close friend and confidant.

The duo of Arbaz and Kamran rose to fame early this year after a humorous clip — in which the latter compared his boss and friend favourably to famous celebrities — went viral. The duo’s antics were greatly liked by social media consumers and the two captured the hearts of countless people across the country.

As Kamran’s charm, humour and antics propelled them to the top of the social media scene, they brought joy to millions who watched their clips. The success of their social media work also helped Arbaz to promote his business (a smartphone and electronic devices venture) and take it to new locations. 

Kamran also left a deep impression on the country’s social media scene as hundreds of copycat accounts sprang up within no time. That’s just one reason why prominent media personalities paid tribute to Kamran and expressed sorrow over his passing.
